I am Ha Mang, a dedicated professional with a passion for environmental science and fostering inclusivity within these spaces. As a first-generation immigrant with roots in Burma, my diverse background brings a unique perspective and cultural understanding to the work that I do. With a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Science from UMBC, I have a strong academic foundation in these fields. I am driven by a strong work ethic and a passion for continuous learning. I embrace challenges and consistently strive for excellence in my work.

Skills and Experience

• Geographical Analysis: Proficient in utilizing advanced software tools such as ARCGis, QGIS, and R-studio to analyze spatial data and generate insightful visual representations. With an understanding in the importance of data analysis, the skills I’ve developed using these softwares empowers informed decision-making as our society is confronted with complex environmental challenges.

My work experiences in customer service has honed exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. I excel at conveying information effectively and engaging with diverse audiences, making me an asset in collaborative work environments. I naturally build relationships and actively try to foster an inclusive atmosphere. During my internship at the Howard County Conservancy, I served as a diversity, equity, and inclusion staff member. In my role, I successfully coordinated education lessons, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all participants. Through my efforts, I made an impact on promoting awareness and understanding of environmental issues within a diverse community. Because environmental stewardship holds immense importance to me, particularly on an international scale, I am deeply committed to addressing global environmental challenges through my skills and experiences. I believe in advocating for cultural relativism and fostering collaboration between nations as we strive to create a better, sustainable future for our planet.
